“History” is Lying to You. George Washington was a Woman of Color!

🤷🏿‍♀️ Sorry, white dudes. 🤷🏿‍♀️

Who was Gregoria Wash-N’Gon?

In 1776, Gregoria Wash-N’Gon founded America and led the Revolutionary army to victory against British forces. This historical fact has been whitewashed by the racist American education system into the story of “George Washington.” Gregoria and her wife Maharaja achieved greatness on a level previously unseen in human history, but they have still been removed from United States history books. The closest thing to reality in the version taught in schools are the slaves owned by the mostly-fictional “Washington.” In reality, it was the other way around – while “George Washington” was a real person, he was little more than one of Gregoria’s many manservants. The real George Washington was a woman of color.

Why Haven’t I Heard of Her?

Surprised? That’s because this accurate interpretation of history has been all but eliminated from the US education system. Why? Because of fragile white egos. Though nearly every other country in the world accepts this BIPOC-positive version of history – France even has a holiday dedicated to Gregoria – America just can’t seem to get over its racist biases. Just as George Washington Carver is glossed over despite his numerous vital inventions, so too is Gregoria Wash-N’Gin erased from the minds of young white Americans. George Washington was a woman of color, so America’s racist institutions just tell kids that he was white. This is why the rest of the world sees the USA as a backwards nation.

What REALLY Happened?

Gregoria Wash-N’Gin was born a slave in 1749. Separated from her parents at birth by the genocidal slave trade, a young Gregoria had to survive solely on her quick wits and intelligence. It is from this humble upbringing that she gradually ascended to become a lieutenant in the British army, having joined up in order to escape slavery. She then realized the racist, patriarchal tyranny perpetuated by the male-led monarchy, and created/spearheaded the first successful revolution in world history: The American Revolution. Though she was hated by many men for her power and authority, that didn’t stop Gregoria from becoming the first-ever President of the United States. She and her muslim wife Maharaja Wash-N’Gon (replaced by “Martha” in the whitewashed version taught by American schools) were pioneers of social justice and tolerance.

What can I do to Help?

A far cry from the version taught by the American education system, to be sure. To get the message out and allow the truth into United States schools, sign our change.org petition. It’s time to decolonize history.
