Yahoo! News reported today that “more than half of Florida’s students defy DeSantis” with a story that covers just how true that headline is.
According to The Washington Post,
“More than half of Florida’s students are now enrolled in public school districts with mask mandates despite threats of sanctions from the administration of Gov. Ron DeSantis (R), who decreed that only parents can decide whether their children wear masks.
On Tuesday night, two school districts — in Orange and Indian River counties — approved mandates to try to stop the spread of the delta variant of the novel coronavirus. They joined eight other districts that recently moved to require a medical exemption from a doctor to opt out.“
Obviously, this is exactly what you would expect to be the case when reading the headline “More Than Half of Florida’s Students Defy DeSantis” and it surely is the case even though the students literally had no say in it.
So what does that mean for the other half?
Based on recent projections indicating that almost 95% of teen deaths from COVID-19 have been due, at least in part, to the coronavirus – this essentially means that DeSantis has allowed half of his state’s high school students to basically be as good as dead. (If they get Covid and have severe medical issues)
As the CDC doubles down on mask guidance and schools scramble to curb the looming semi-apocalypse, we have to ask ourselves:

Why do you think DeSantis hates children and America?
