Femxles everywhere scored a big win today when Congress led by 104 year old Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Democrats snuck in gun control by calling it the Violence Against Women Act.
If you’re against this overt deception of the American people and overreach from the loving, caring overseers we call elected federal officials, then you must want women to be killed. Sexists everywhere were triggered.
So how exactly does it accomplish this?
The Omnibus Spending Bill contained a secret little traveler hiding within the fucking $1.5 trillion price tag – the Violence Against Women Act.
Reading the title of the act would lead you to believe that it’s only about providing tools and resources to specifically target males who assault women and maybe raise penalties for domestic violence.
No, it gives the federal government power to circumvent 2A sanctuary states from exercising the will of the people and deputize local law enforcement to enforce federal laws.
You may wonder, “well isn’t most violence committed by women done so with fists and emotional abuse? Isn’t a gun more useful as a tool for women to defend themselves? How does this protect women? Why is this in the Violence Against Women Act? Hell, doesn’t it make it harder for them to protect themselves?”
To which we say: shut up, bigots.
“One new provision empowers the US Department of Justice to appoint state, local, territorial and tribal prosecutors to serve as special assistant US attorneys to prosecute violations of federal firearms laws. Another aims to expand the reach of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the chief federal agency charged with enforcing the nation’s gun laws, by allowing the attorney general to deputize local and state law enforcement officers to act as ATF agents to investigate abusers who break federal firearms laws.”
Of course, as Democrats, we welcome any overreach of the federal government as they continue marching into total control of the country and being able to expand their lists of excuses for arresting dissenters and ensuring their will is the only will.
As “progressives”, we both acknowledge the government as historically genocidal, corrupt and requiring transparency while also pretending they will only wield their increasing power for good despite literally centuries of evidence that they will become, if not already, corrupt.
As in, your local officers can now becomes enforcement arms of the federal government.
